Labor, not software
Almost all of the one-time fee is human hours — on-site and off. Your quote reflects your home and the scope you ask for — how many appliances we document and how many videos we film — not square footage alone.
The technician's time
About two hours in your home walking the property, photographing model plates, and teaching you how your house works.
Travel & vehicle
Getting a trained pro to your door — drive time, fuel, and the cost of running the vehicle.
Building your portal
Hours of off-site work after the visit: verifying every manual is the correct document, editing and uploading your videos, and organizing the home.

The monthly fee
Keeping the portal alive
Your portal costs us money every month it exists. The tiers are set by the two things that drive that cost: AI questions and hosted video.
AI usage
Every ask-the-manual question runs a model over your manuals, and each new appliance gets its manual read and indexed. This is our biggest and most variable monthly cost.
Video & document hosting
Storing your how-to videos and cached manual PDFs, plus the bandwidth every time someone in your house streams or opens one. Video is the heaviest item per gigabyte — that's why the tiers scale with video count.
Portal, login & email
Hosting the portal itself, secure logins and password resets, and the account emails that go with them.
Keeping it working
Manufacturers move and delete manual links. If a manual link in your portal breaks, tell us and we'll find a replacement — and we answer your support emails.
